Canine Acres also serves as an Australian Cattle Dog Rehabilitation home. We rescue a small number of cattle dogs (blue heelers) every year and introduce them into our own pack of cattle dogs who, with our help, work to rehabilitate and balance the rescues before we put them up for adoption. Our goals regarding cattle dog rescue can not be defined quantitatively, but rather qualitatively. We do not strive to rescue and place as many dogs as possible, but rather to place fewer dogs with the right people in the right environments for their individual personalities.
